Consultation, Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy

MYFINTAX ADVISORS PRIVATE LIMITED

Effective Date: 20 August 2026 · Last Updated: 20 August 2026 · Version 1.0

This Consultation, Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all paid professional consultation appointments booked through MYFINTAX ADVISORS PRIVATE LIMITED (“MYFINTAX”, “we”, “us” or “our”) through the MYFINTAX website or any other authorised booking channel.

By booking and/or making payment for a consultation, the client (“Client”, “you” or “your”) confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to this Policy, together with the applicable Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Nature of Consultation

A consultation booked with MYFINTAX is a professional advisory session intended to provide preliminary guidance based on the facts, information and documents made available by the Client.

Depending upon the consultation selected and the matter involved, the discussion may relate to taxation, GST, business registration and structuring, regulatory compliance, accounting, company law matters, startup advisory, financial or business advisory, or such other professional services as may lawfully be provided.

The consultation fee is primarily consideration for reservation of professional time, review/discussion of the Client's matter and professional consultation during the booked session.

Unless specifically included in the consultation package, the consultation fee does not include fees or charges for any subsequent filing, registration, certification, representation, appearance, drafting, detailed written opinion, appeal, reply to notice, accounting work, return filing, statutory compliance or other implementation services.

Any such subsequent engagement may be separately scoped, accepted and charged.

2. Consultation Fee

The fee applicable to a consultation shall be the amount displayed on the booking page at the time of booking, together with applicable taxes, including GST.

The presently displayed fee, where applicable, may be ₹999 plus applicable GST, or such other amount as may be displayed for the particular consultation type.

The price displayed at checkout shall prevail for that booking.

Payment must be successfully completed before the appointment is treated as confirmed.

3. Confirmation of Appointment

A consultation shall be regarded as confirmed only after:

  • successful receipt/confirmation of payment; and
  • issuance of a booking confirmation by MYFINTAX.

The confirmation may contain the date and time of consultation, booking reference, meeting link and/or other instructions.

Clients should verify these particulars upon receiving the confirmation and notify MYFINTAX promptly if any apparent error is noticed.

4. Rescheduling by the Client

A Client may request rescheduling of a confirmed consultation subject to the following conditions:

More than 6 hours before the scheduled time: One rescheduling may ordinarily be permitted without additional consultation charges, subject to availability.

Within 6 hours of the scheduled time: Rescheduling shall ordinarily not be available. MYFINTAX may, however, permit rescheduling in exceptional circumstances at its discretion.

A rescheduled consultation shall be subject to available appointment slots.

Repeated rescheduling may require a fresh booking and payment.

5. Cancellation More Than 24 Hours Before Consultation

Where a Client cancels a confirmed consultation more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, the Client may request a refund.

Where a refund is approved, MYFINTAX will initiate the eligible refund to the original payment method.

Any deduction, if applicable, shall be limited to amounts lawfully deductible and actually non-recoverable in relation to the transaction. MYFINTAX will not levy arbitrary or undisclosed cancellation charges.

6. Cancellation Between 6 and 24 Hours Before Consultation

Where cancellation is requested between 6 hours and 24 hours before the scheduled consultation, MYFINTAX will ordinarily offer one rescheduling opportunity instead of a monetary refund, subject to availability.

If MYFINTAX determines that a refund is appropriate because of exceptional circumstances, the same may be approved at its discretion, subject to applicable law.

7. Cancellation Within 6 Hours

Where cancellation is made less than 6 hours before the scheduled consultation, the consultation fee shall ordinarily be non-refundable, since the professional time has already been reserved and may not reasonably be capable of being allocated to another Client.

MYFINTAX may nevertheless permit rescheduling or refund in exceptional circumstances, including genuine emergencies, at its discretion and subject to applicable law.

8. No-Show

If the Client fails to join or attend the consultation without prior cancellation or permitted rescheduling, the appointment shall ordinarily be treated as a no-show.

The consultation fee shall ordinarily be non-refundable in such cases.

A fresh consultation will require a fresh booking and applicable payment.

9. Late Attendance

Clients are requested to join the consultation at the scheduled time.

Where a Client joins late, MYFINTAX may conduct the consultation for the remaining scheduled duration.

Late attendance does not automatically extend the scheduled end time because subsequent professional appointments may already have been committed.

Where reasonably possible, the professional may voluntarily extend the session, but the Client shall have no automatic entitlement to such extension.

10. Cancellation or Rescheduling by MYFINTAX

If MYFINTAX or the assigned professional is unable to conduct the consultation due to professional exigency, illness, technical failure or another circumstance attributable to MYFINTAX, the Client will ordinarily be offered:

Option A: Rescheduling to another mutually convenient available slot; or

Option B: Full refund of the consultation fee paid for the affected appointment.

The choice shall ordinarily be made available to the Client.

This provision is intended to ensure that cancellation consequences are applied fairly and not solely against the Client.

11. Technical Failure

Where the consultation cannot substantially take place due to a technical failure attributable to MYFINTAX, the consultation may be rescheduled without additional charge or the Client may be offered a refund, as appropriate.

Where the technical issue arises from the Client's internet connection, device, software, microphone, camera or inability to access the meeting link, MYFINTAX will reasonably attempt to facilitate the consultation through an alternative available mode.

If the consultation nevertheless cannot take place, the matter will be considered on its facts and MYFINTAX may permit rescheduling where reasonably justified.

12. Duplicate or Erroneous Payment

Where the same consultation is accidentally charged more than once, the duplicate amount shall be refunded after verification.

If payment is debited from the Client's account but the booking is not confirmed, the Client should not immediately make repeated payments without checking the booking/payment status.

Where the transaction has failed but the amount has been debited, reversal may be processed automatically by the bank/payment gateway according to their respective timelines.

The Client may contact MYFINTAX with the transaction and booking details for assistance.

13. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, MYFINTAX shall initiate the refund through the original payment method/payment gateway wherever practicable.

After initiation, the actual credit to the Client's account is subject to processing by the payment gateway, issuing bank, UPI provider, card network or other financial intermediary.

Razorpay presently states that normal refunds generally take approximately 5–7 working days after initiation, although actual banking timelines can vary.

Accordingly, MYFINTAX cannot control banking/payment-network processing time after a refund has been successfully initiated.

14. Consultation Does Not Guarantee an Outcome

Professional consultation involves application of professional judgement to the information available at the relevant time.

Accordingly, booking or attending a consultation does not guarantee:

  • approval of any registration, licence or application;
  • acceptance of any tax or regulatory position;
  • grant of any refund, exemption, deduction or benefit;
  • reduction or elimination of tax liability;
  • favourable disposal of any notice, assessment, appeal, litigation or proceeding;
  • availability of any government scheme or incentive;
  • funding, investment or loan approval; or
  • any particular commercial, financial, regulatory or legal outcome.

Decisions of governmental, regulatory, judicial, banking or other third-party authorities remain outside MYFINTAX's control.

15. Accuracy and Completeness of Client Information

Professional guidance is dependent upon the facts, documents and information provided by the Client.

The Client is responsible for providing information that is accurate, complete and not misleading.

MYFINTAX shall not be responsible for consequences arising materially from:

  • suppression of relevant facts;
  • inaccurate information;
  • incomplete documentation;
  • forged or altered documents;
  • subsequent changes in facts;
  • information not disclosed during the consultation; or
  • reliance on assumptions necessitated by incomplete information.

If material facts change, professional advice may also change.

16. Preliminary Nature of Oral Consultation

Unless the engagement specifically provides otherwise, views expressed during a consultation should be understood in the context of the facts and information available during that consultation.

Complex matters may require:

  • examination of additional documents;
  • independent verification;
  • legal or technical research;
  • computation;
  • written opinion;
  • consultation with another specialist; or
  • further professional engagement.

Accordingly, an oral consultation should not automatically be treated as a comprehensive written professional opinion on matters requiring detailed examination.

17. Change in Law or Regulatory Position

Taxation, GST, company law and other regulatory matters are subject to legislative amendments, notifications, circulars, judicial decisions, departmental interpretations and changes in government portals/procedures.

Professional guidance is provided with reference to the law and information reasonably applicable at the time of consultation.

Advice given on one date should not automatically be relied upon indefinitely where the law, facts or regulatory position subsequently changes.

18. No Automatic Continuing Engagement

Booking a consultation does not by itself appoint MYFINTAX or any individual professional as the Client's continuing consultant, authorised representative, statutory auditor, tax representative or other professional adviser for all future matters.

Where further professional work is required, its:

  • scope;
  • responsibilities;
  • deliverables;
  • professional fees;
  • timelines; and
  • terms of engagement

may be separately agreed.

19. Professional Independence and Right to Decline Engagement

MYFINTAX and the professionals associated with the consultation remain subject to applicable professional, ethical, legal and regulatory requirements.

MYFINTAX may decline or discontinue a proposed subsequent engagement where, among other things:

  • a conflict of interest exists;
  • professional independence may be impaired;
  • applicable law or professional standards restrict the engagement;
  • requisite information or documentation is not provided;
  • the requested activity appears unlawful, misleading or improper; or
  • acceptance would otherwise be inconsistent with professional obligations.

Where a paid consultation itself cannot lawfully or ethically be undertaken after booking, MYFINTAX shall deal with the consultation fee appropriately having regard to the circumstances and applicable law.

The current ICAI Code of Ethics (13th Edition) is applicable from 1 April 2026.

20. Confidentiality

Information provided during a professional consultation will be handled in accordance with applicable professional obligations, law and MYFINTAX's Privacy Policy.

However, confidentiality is subject to disclosures that may be required:

  • by law;
  • by a court or competent authority;
  • under professional or regulatory obligations; or
  • with the Client's consent.

Clients should use official MYFINTAX communication channels when transmitting sensitive documents.

21. Recording of Consultation

Neither party should audio-record, video-record, screen-record or otherwise reproduce a consultation without the prior consent of the other party, except where recording is required or permitted under applicable law.

Where MYFINTAX proposes to record a consultation for any permitted purpose, appropriate notice/consent shall be obtained where required.

22. Third-Party Platforms

Consultations may be facilitated using third-party technology such as video-conferencing, email, calendar, payment or communication platforms.

Use of such platforms may additionally be subject to their respective terms and privacy practices.

MYFINTAX shall take reasonable precautions in selecting and using such platforms but cannot warrant uninterrupted operation of independent third-party systems.

23. Payment Gateway

Online payments may be processed through Razorpay or another authorised payment service provider.

MYFINTAX does not require Clients to provide card PINs, UPI PINs, OTPs or internet-banking passwords directly to MYFINTAX.

Clients should never disclose such credentials to any MYFINTAX employee or representative.

Razorpay itself advises customers to transact only through secure sites and not to share passwords or OTPs.

24. Refund Request Procedure

A cancellation/refund request should preferably be made using the Manage Consultation facility provided with the booking or through the official contact mechanism displayed on the MYFINTAX website.

The Client should provide:

  • name;
  • booking reference;
  • registered email/mobile number; and
  • brief reason for cancellation/refund, where relevant.

Clients should not send card details, UPI PINs, CVVs, OTPs or banking passwords.

25. Refund Abuse, Fraud or Misuse

MYFINTAX reserves the right to investigate requests involving suspected:

  • fraudulent payments;
  • chargeback abuse;
  • repeated intentional bookings and cancellations;
  • misuse of consultation slots;
  • impersonation; or
  • other abusive conduct.

Nothing in this provision limits any mandatory rights available to a consumer under applicable law.

26. Consumer Rights

Nothing contained in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or override any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, or other applicable law.

The E-Commerce Rules apply to goods and services bought or sold over digital or electronic networks.

If any provision of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, such mandatory requirement shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

27. Changes to this Policy

MYFINTAX may revise this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:

  • services;
  • booking processes;
  • payment arrangements;
  • applicable law;
  • professional requirements; or
  • operational practices.

The Policy applicable to a particular booking shall ordinarily be the version made available/accepted at the time of that booking, subject to mandatory legal requirements.

Material changes should not retrospectively deprive a Client of rights already accrued in relation to a confirmed booking.
